Movie Trailer Green Screen Intro

This is for all the aspiring filmmakers that want to create a trailer with the green rating intro at the beginning. I created a Photoshop template of the ratings green screen this weekend after spending too long searching for one online. Instead of just filing it away I figured I’d share it with all of you.

All of the text layers are customizable. There are five fonts in use, some of which you may need to acquire on your own:

  • Arial-Bold
  • Arial Narrow-Bold
  • Arial Black-Regular
  • ITC Veljovic Std-Black
  • NimbusSansNovusT-Black

Beyond that, all that remains is your imagination. You can see how I put mine to use here.

Click here to download a zip file of the Photoshop file and let me know how it works out for you.

This is incredible. I’m cutting a trailer for a short film and they asked me to include a customized green trailer screen. I thought, at best, I’d make something that looked crudely homemade, not being much of a Photoshop guy. You made it possible to have something that looks genuine. Thank you.

Chris, that’s a great question. I’m distributing my file to use however you please, but I can’t speak to the original green screen intro that inspired me to create this one.

Thank you so much for making something so helpful. I was curious to know if there were tutorials or generators for these and I stumbled upon yours. I am using it for my college digital video class. Again, thank you so much for providing this!

Weird. I just clicked the link and I was prompted to download, so it’s still there. Look for the “click here” text in the post.

Heya, sorry to be disturbing you ^.^ I was wondering if we posted a trailer online with the green screen customised and edited ect, would I have to link people to this page? or Is it just a free thing to use without any worries

It’s completely up to you! I made it for myself and figured other people would find it handy. And indeed, many have. I always enjoy seeing it in use, so if you want to come back here and drop a link to your trailer, great. And if you want to tell other people where you found it, great. And if you just want to use it and not tell anybody anything, great! I hope you find it useful. Have a great day!
