While the title of this post may sound like an attempt to win a game of Clue, it’s actually a statement of fact. We had a few minutes to interview James Morrison before his showcase at The Sayers Club in Hollywood, but the layout of the club wasn’t conducive to conducting an interview while they were troubleshooting the sound system. So we ended up scouting locations outside the club and settled on a brick wall painted a lovely rich color of red. The wall happened to be the back of a hookah lounge, the management of which was gracious enough to loan us some power for the lights.

The net result was this interview with James Morrison for BUZZINE.

Remember when I told you about the time I sat down with and interviewed the likes of Jeff Ross, Marc Maron and Wayne Federman? Well, my producing & interviewing debut for BUZZINE has been released into the wild! This video was edited by fellow editor Leo Bleier. I’m quite happy with how the whole thing turned out. Thanks to the folks at Transforming the World through Comedy for being gracious hosts and spending some time talking to us about how they got this good cause rolling.

Today we interviewed Eric, Alex & Sky of Foxy Shazam for an upcoming video on BUZZINE. We shot in a conference room in the Capitol Records building, my first time in the building and I gotta say, it was pretty cool.

My friend Jon Ham, a personal trainer and YouTube content producer and Next Trainer, recommended I meet up with him today in Thousand Oaks where Michael’s Bicycles was hosting the Specialized demo truck for test rides of their mountain bikes. So I did.

I ended up on a Stumpjumper 29er EVO, a bike that seemed to weigh less than my left foot with knobby tires that would make a tractor tire feel insignificant. With an MSRP of $7,500, I wasn’t in the market, but it was nice to be able to give it a spin.

Jon took me on a couple of quick loops through the nearby hills. I can officially say I’m not very good at mountain bike trails. Most of the riding I do in LA is street or beach path. I’d like to get to more trails, but they’re not easily accessible, and since I went with the hybrid bike after my mountain bike was stolen, I’m not as well-equipped for mountain trails as I could be. File that under things to change in the future, but for now, I’m happy with my bike and the rides I do get out on occasionally.

I had fun putting together this red carpet piece about ‘Journey 2′ for BUZZINE. Vanessa Hudgens is adorable. Josh Hutcherson is apparently on the verge of international stardom with The Hunger Games. And I really find myself entertained by Dwayne Johnson, though he wasn’t able to make an interview appearance in this video due to unfortunate scheduling circumstances the night of the premiere.

First of all, McG…what a cool name. Maybe I should start going by McBCJ? Maybe not. But McG, Film Director, has a great ring to it. McG is joined by Reese Witherspoon and Tom Hardy to talk about the making of ‘This Means War‘ with BUZZINE.

By the way, how does Reese eat her cereal? With her spoon, of course!
